Program
Overview
The Kansas Black Farmers Association (KBFA) Increasing Land Access Grant (ILAG) is a comprehensive program designed to support underserved farmers and ranchers. It provides a variety of resources, including down payment assistance, farm viability funding, tuition and fee reimbursement, workshops, and technical assistance. The grant is a multi-year initiative with the support of key project partners and a variety of specialists.
Farmer Viability Fund
Farm Viability Funding offers vital support for farmers facing emergency financial challenges, including credit repair and legal assistance. To apply:

2. Create an Account using your email.
3. Enter “Kansas Black Farmers Association” in the organization field.
4. Proceed with the application.

Tuition Reimbursement
The Tuition and Fees Reimbursement program supports skill-building and knowledge expansion by covering training, workshops, and courses. Participants can apply for reimbursement or direct payment after submitting proof of payment and a completion certificate through the Increasing Land Access program.
Down Payment Assistance
Our grant program is here to help you overcome financial barriers with down payment support, making it easier to secure the land you need. Whether you’re purchasing or leasing for the first time or established and looking to access more land, we’re committed to helping you take the necessary steps to growing your farm.
